Brief Presentation:
Rex Hagans, Stand for Children to discuss GKAS 2010 gave a 10 minute presentation explaining the Stand for Children programs of Salem, North Clackamas and Canby School districts.  He noted that the programs are primarily operated on volunteer base of 500+ .  Canby program is still in pilot phase.  Having 1 in 14 students in the Canby District who are classified as homeless, it is of utmost importance that the pilot program thrives into successful program.  It was launched with grants but will need donations and continued volunteers dedicated to its success.  Stand for Children has been a big participant of GKAS each year in North Clackamas and Salem school districts and would like to offer their services to CCDS to help aid in the preparation of GKAS in Clackamas County.
