An Unfortunate Farewell from your Executive Director

For those of you who have not already heard the news, I am saddened to say that I must resign my position as your Executive Director. Unfortunately, my husband and I have had to make some tough decisions on the future of our family based on these tough economic times. My husband’s employer is sending him to the Bargram Air Base in Afghanistan to manage a major military 12 month contracted project. So I must focus my full attention on the needs of our two young children and the added domestic duties while he is away.
It has been my pleasure to serve you in this challenging but rewarding position. I am proud to have brought a sense of order and organization to the daily operations as the first staff member of your society. I only hope that you will find a second staff member who will succeed above my efforts and continue to make CCDS better with every year.
I plan to continue my volunteer efforts with Give Kids a Smile and Stand for Children’s program so our paths may cross again in the future. So with that, I will not say “good bye” but I wrap up this article by saying “thank you and best wishes to you all until we meet again…”
