The Clackamas County Dental Society would like to thank our Executive Director, Kimberly White for her service to our society.  She is stepping down this month so she can focus on caring for her family while her husband is overseas in Afghanistan.  Kimberly has done a great job organizing our meetings, communicating with members, potential members, venders, and sponsors.  As a society, we have moved to that 'next level' with her help.  Thank you Kimberly, we will miss you.    

We had a great meeting in November, and our membership enjoyed an excellent presentation by Dr. Dix Densley on direct adhesion restorations using composite resins.  Thank you to Robin Gray and Dentsply for sponsoring our speaker.  A big thanks to Gerine from Hu Friedy for providing a composite instrument to all those in attendance!  As always, thank you to our sponsors for supporting us in 2009.  We look forward to working with you in 2010!

There are no events scheduled in December for CCDS.  As we all wrap up 2009, don't forget to take time to let your staff know how much you appreciate all that they do for you during the work day.  It is not often enough, that we say THANK YOU for doing a great job.  Better yet, recognize your staff in front of another staff member or a patient to really "make that persons day".  

Finally, I’d like to share, that I have had a number of members and sponsors come up to me this fall and tell me how much they enjoy the format and content we have at our meetings.  One member shared, that in his opinion, we hosted the best dental society meetings in the metropolitan area.  I welcome your comments and recommendations for further improving our dental society.  I wish you all have very Happy Holiday and prosperous New Year.  See you in 2010.
